The nearest village to Culland Mount Farm is Brailsford, which in turn is situated along the A52, half way between Derby and Ashbourne. As some of the roads here are not named we suggest the following route :-

If travelling from Derby

Shortly before entering the village of Brailsford look for a road on the left (immediately after the 30mph road sign), signposted "Thurvaston, Sutton on the hill, Golf Centre". Turn down here. After approximately 3/4 of a mile of winding road you should see Pools Head Farm to your left on a junction. Bear round to the left here and Culland Mount Farm is situated a few hundred yards along on the left.

If you miss this turning pass through Brailsford (Rose and Crown on the right, garage and craft centre on the left) and take the next left 'The Green', signed for "Thurvaston, Brailsford Church". Then follow the directions for "If travelling from Ashbourne.

If travelling from Ashbourne

The Green is the first road on your right as you enter the village, approximately 300 yards past the 30mph sign and immediately before the first building on your right. The road sign points to Thurvaston and Brailsford Church. From The Green follow the road, past the church and out into the countryside, eventually coming to Pools Head Farm on a junction. Bear round to the right here and Culland Mount Farm is situated a few hundred yards along on the left. If you miss the first turning to the right continue through Brailsford (Rose and Crown on your left, craft centre and garage on your right), look for and take the next turning on the right, signposted for Thurvaston, Sutton on the Hill, Golf Centre then follow the directions for "If travelling from Derby".
